Use ReadyToEdit from your AI agent
Connect Claude or another MCP client once, then have it send your notes, start a draft and hand you the editor link.
Connect it once
You need a ReadyToEdit account with at least one project. Your agent then works as you: it reaches the projects your account can reach, and nothing else.

Claude Code
Run: claude mcp add --transport http readytoedit https://readytoedit.ai/api/mcp. Start a new session. The first time it uses ReadyToEdit, your browser opens to sign in.

Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Paste https://readytoedit.ai/api/mcp.

Sign in
Sign in with the account you use here and approve access on the screen that follows. There is no key to copy.
What your agent can do

| Send your notes | It sends a document you point it at, such as design notes or a README, complete, to a Piece. A draft started in that Piece is written from it. Sending the same file again replaces the old version. |
| Bring in a Drive folder | It adds the videos in a Google Drive folder to a Piece, linked rather than copied, and asks you before reading them. Reading transcribes and describes each video, takes a few minutes and is billed like any other use. A draft can quote a video, and find clips in it, only once it is read. |
| Start a draft | It passes on your request in your own words. The draft is written in the background from the request and everything in the Piece, then footage is searched for every line. |

Footage in Google Drive
ReadyToEdit reads a Drive folder as its own Google account, so the folder must be shared with that account as a viewer. If it is not shared yet, Studio and your agent both name the address to share it with. Share one folder once and record into folders inside it: everything inside is shared with it too.
Sharing gives ReadyToEdit’s account access to those files and gives no other Google account access. It reads a video only when you ask, deletes its temporary copy afterwards, and keeps the transcript, stills and descriptions. Unshare the folder to stop it.
Without a folder, the footage search looks across every video already read in your project.
What it does not do
It does not place footage, send anything to your editor or publish. Clips are placed in Studio, where the drafts your agent starts appear like any other.
